In 1988 we had set our sights on the work of early visionaries and contemporary artists – and enacted their design ideas within the framework of a collection all its own.
The Art Collection included designs for flooring from the time around the turn of the century, the Bauhaus era, and the present.
Pop Art designs by Roy Lichtenstein or Jeff Koons were represented here to the same extent as avant-garde ideas from Coop Himmelb(l)au or the stimulating, cave-like drawings by Mimmo Paladino.
Altough this collection is no longer available, it is still a proof for the design flexiblity of carpet and a proof of the design and culture awareness of Vorwerk flooring.
