Vorwerk Teppichwerke lead the rest not only when it comes to design and quality, but also in health and environmental protection. And protection of the environment is firmly established as one of the company's guiding principles: we set ourselves high environmental standards.
"We pledge ourselves to a responsible and constructive relationship with the society in which we live and which we are a part of..." This means: all of our corporate decisions must be tested for their environmental compatibility. In this area we at Vorwerk want to do more than merely fulfil legislative requirements - we seek to take a pro-active lead.
This commitment led to Vorwerk Teppichwerke of Hameln being the first carpet company in Europe to receive the EU Environmental Audit certificate. We also won first prize at the environmental awards sponsored by the Commerzbank and the magazine impulse. Vorwerk was also awarded the seal of approval "suitable for allergy sufferers" by the German technical inspectorate of TÜV Nord in Essen.
