Two CSR awards in one year:
Vorwerk Carpets is one of the most sustainable manufacturers in Germany
CSR stands for corporate social responsibility, the voluntary and identifiable assumption of responsibility for social issues by a company. For Vorwerk Carpets, CSR has been only natural for years and represents a key part of company policy. With “Eco Balance”, a programme agenda is being thought and lived here which places the ecological, economic and social aspects of sustainability in a symbiotic contect. Vorwerk has – once again – received official confirmation for pioneering CSR conduct. In the form of two awards.

“The Phenomenon in the Deco Department”
Vorwerk Carpets presentation at Heimtextil causes a sensation
While attending the Heimtextil trade fair from the 11th to the 14th of January, 2012 in Frankfurt, Vorwerk presented not one but two innovations: “Scale Living”, the first collection of free-form tiles for the home, as well as “Cover” and “Frame”, the two new products from the “Selected Rugs” collection. The innovations were received enthusiastically by visitors from Germany and abroad. The booth conceived by architect Hadi Teherani, a sculpture with a mirrored surface modeled on the free-form tiles in “Scale Living”, was as good as ‘filled to the brim’ at times.

Vernissage “From Aalto to Zumthor: Furniture by Architects” at the MAKK
The special exhibition “From Aalto to Zumthor: Furniture by Architects” opened on January 16th, 2012 at the MAKK, the Museum for Applied Art, in Cologne. Several hundred guests attended.
Besides classics in seating furniture by Le Corbusier, Walter Gropius and O.M. Ungers, lamps, lighting fixtures and carpets are on exhibit, too. Among the exclusive pieces to be seen: the carpet-tile collection “Scale Living” from Vorwerk Carpets, which arose in co-operation with architect Hadi Teherani.

Innovations for the Heimtextil trade fair
Vorwerk presents new carpet creations – and becomes a platinum partner
Vorwerk will be presenting two innovations at the Heimtextil trade fair in Frankfurt from January 11th to 14th, which will be of particular interest to sophisticated fitters and interior designers. One of them is "Scale Living", the first collection of free-form tiles for the home, which celebrated its premiere at the new furniture and design trade fair Qubique in Berlin. The three fascinating tile shapes can be composed in any number and arrangement desired to form individualised carpets.

Two new products for the “Selected Rugs” collection: COVER and FRAME
The Vorwerk “Selected Rugs” collection is an expression of the paramount philosophy of Transflooring at Vorwerk: to transform floors into worlds and generate an awareness of them as an active element in designing a space. Now they are being joined by two more fascinatingly sensual, versatile products: “COVER” and “FRAME”.
